Beautiful Botanicals

These two cards are from the Rubber Queens swap last week.  They both use the Botanical Blooms stamp set and the Botanical Builder Framelits and the second card also uses the Botanical Garden Designer Series Paper.  All of these items are from the Occasions catalog.  I don't have this set yet but I love these cards so I may have to get it.  And these stamps and framelits are offered as a bundle so that you can save when you buy both.

This is my swap card from the last Rubber Queens meeting.  I love the background paper.  And the best part of it is that's free in the Sale A Bration catalog.  The little lamb stamp is in the Occassions catalog.  It's called Easter Lamb.  I love the cute little animals that we see so often on Easter cards and this little lamb is perfect.

Balloons, balloons and more balloons.

Balloons are very popular.  At least it seemed that way at our last Rubber Queens meeting.  Here are four cute cards with balloons.

The above card was made by Janelle Ruf.  She used the Balloon Celebration stamp set out of the Occasions catalog.

There was no name on the card above but it also used the Balloon Celebration stamp set for the string on the middle balloon.  The balloons were punched out with the Balloon Bouquet punch.

Again the Balloon Bouquet punch was used for this card made by one of the Rubber Queens but there was no name on the card.

And another pretty card with no name on it.  Love the glitter balloons.

One sheet wonder.

What you may ask is one sheet wonder.  That's when you take one sheet of designer series paper and cut it into pieces and then use those pieces to make a set of cards.  This sample uses only 1/4 sheet of designer series paper so I guess it's a quarter sheet wonder.  First, here is the layout of how to cut up the quarter sheet of paper.

And here are two sets of cards made using the paper.  This first set used a piece of Birthday Bouquet DSP.  I love the pastel colors in this set of cards.  Very feminine.

This second set of cards used a sheet of Cherry on Top DSP.  This quarter sheet design works great with this paper because the paper stack is already 6 X 6.  These cards are very bright and cheery.  Great for kids.  One thing that you probably can't see in the pictures is that I used an embossing folder on all the cards.

Did you notice that the card with the three little squares is a little different than the one in the first set?  The design on this paper is definitely directional so I had to turn the paper so that the balloons are still going up in the air.  Be sure to try this sometime.  The cards were really easy and fast to make.  It took longer to decide what color card stock to use than it did to make the cards.
