Card class

Here's a simple little box that we did at card class last week. It was on the first table by the door and when people came in some of them said that it looked to hard so they wanted to skip it until last. Well, guess what? It's a really easy box to make.

The secret?  It's a Bigz die.  You run it throught the Big Shot and this is what you get.  It's all scored and waiting for you to fold it.

And here's the coolest thing of all.  There's only one little tab that needs to be adhered.  So if you ever want to make these neat little boxes just get the box # 2 die and have a ball.

RECIPE FOR A HAPPY NEW YEAR

Someone sent this to me and I just wanted to share it.

Take twelve whole months, clean them thoroughly of all bitterness, hate, and jealously. Make them just as fresh and clean as possible. Now cut each month into twenty-eight, thirty, or thirty-one different parts, but don't make up the whole batch at once. Prepare it one day at a time out of these ingredients.
Mix well into each day one part of faith, one part of patience, one part of courage, and one part of work. Add to each day one part of hope, faithfulness, generosity and kindness. Blend with one part prayer and one part medication, and one good deed. Season the whole with a dash of good spirits, a sprinkle of fun, a pinch of play, and a cupful of good humor.
Pour all this into a vessel of love. Cook thoroughly over radiant joy; garnish with a smile and serve with quietness, unselfishness, and cheerfulness. You're bound to have a Happy New Year!!!

Occasions Mini cards

I know it's been awhile since I've posted but you wouldn't believe the problems I'm having.  First, my laptop won't connect to the internet.  Just got an email telling me what to do so I've got to try that later.  Then I couldn't find the cord to connect my Kodak camera to the desktop computer and the Nikon cord wouldn't fit.  And the Nikon software program isn't on the dest top computer.  So I thought that I could transfer pictures to the laptop and then dump them to a disc and put them on the desk top to upload.  Not the best solution but it would work.  And, glory be, this morning I found the Kodak cord out in the Paper Palace.  Please don't ask why it was out there because I have no idea.  So now I have some cards to show you .

This first card is using a new stamp set out of the Occasions mini called Take it to Heart.  And there's three real nice heart stamps in the set too.  And the image was cut out using the new Hearts Collection Framelits Dies.  And do you like the ribbon?  That's Blushing Bride pleasted satin ribbon.  It comes in three other colors also.

This card uses a set out of the mini called Baby Prints.  Both the hand and foot prints and the greeting are in the set.  I used Pretty in Pink paper and ink but then I had to use Pink Pirouette ribbon behind the greeting.  This card will probably show up in card class sometime.

And this last card will be in card class next week.  The image is from Bordering on Romance and the little flowers on the side are also from that set.  And we'll use the new edgelit die to cut the scallop border.  And the greeting is out of Sale-A-Bration.  So you can get that one for free with a $50.00 order.  Oh, my mind works so well.  The center image was cut using the new Labels collection edgelits and the blue background behind is also cut with the edgelits.  I think everyone will fall in love with the edgelits after you have a chance to use them.  That's all for now but since I've finally figured out a way to upload pictures I'll try and post some more class cards tomorrow.

I need help!!!

I have to admit to a big mistake.  A lady called me and order some stuff and I ordered the stuff but now I can't find her name or phone number to let her know that I have her order here.  So if you were the person who order some Stampin Mist refill please, please, please call me or email me.

Now that I've got that out of the way it's time to talk about Sale-A-Bration.  You should have the mini catalog by now.  Please let me know if you don't and I'll get one to you.  In the mean time I thought that you might like to see some of the things that you can get for free.  That's right, free.  For every $50.00 that you spend during Sale-A-Bration you can pick one item out of the mini.

The image above is called Fresh Vintage.  There are 5 stamps in this set and they co-ordinate with the Everyday Enchantment paper that you'll see on the next couple of cards.

This image and the words are from a set called Sprinkled Expressions.  There are six stamps in the set.  And this card also shows some of the designer series paper that is in the mini called Everyday Enchantment.  And the brad in the middle is also called Everyday Enchantment and the 30 brads are bundled with 2 spools of organdy ribbon.  And remember that it's all free.

This card is showing more of the Everyday Enchantment paper and the ribbon.  The image is from a set called Outlined Occasions and there are 6 stamps in that set.

And this image is from a set called Elementary Elegance.  There are seven stamps in the set.  The frame that you see above and two with words, one of them above and four small images.  And again thats more of the Everyday Enchantent paper.
There are a lot more things in the mini.  There's stamps out of the big book that you can get free with an order, there's a decor element, buttons, material, a Simply Sent kit, card stock and a couple of digital cd's that go with My Digital Studio.  And tomorrow I'll tell you about the wonderful starter kit deal that will be offered during Sale-A-Bration.  It's an "almost free" deal so if you've ever thought that you'd like to be a demonstrator this will be the time.

More Valentines.

I've finally got around to getting some more pictures of Valentine cards for you.  By now you should all have the new Occasions Mini.  If you don't please let me know and I'll get one to you.  One of my favorite things in the new mini is the doily sizzlet.  It's beautiful and here's a picture of some paper cut with it.

And here it is on a Valentine card.  Thanks to Tami Ackerson for this card.

And here's another Valentine.  That's all for today.  I'll have more tomorrow.

Finally another valentine

I guess I should never take a break from stamping.  I don't seem to have any creative ideas flowing.  I did make two valentines today but one of them is a total copy and the second one is one that I thought up myself.

Hopefully the creative juices will start up by themselves.  Otherwise it'll be a lot of copying.
But I do have most of the Christmas decorations down.  They're not put away but I'm getting there.
